Ethnocultural Groups in Waterloo Region

There are many ethnic, cultural, or language groups in Waterloo Region.  These groups help you meet people:

• From a specific ethnic or cultural group
• Who speak your language
• From other backgrounds

These groups may also provide helpful services and programs, or help newcomers contact local organizations that can assist them.

The Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre keeps a listing of ethnocultural groups across Waterloo Region.

The Community Information Centre of Waterloo Region keeps a list of organizations with a cultural focus in Waterloo Region. 

Religious Groups and Places of Worship

There are many faiths practiced in Waterloo Region.  The major local newspaper, the Waterloo Region Record keeps a list of religious groups and churches, temples, mosques and other religious places of worship.
