International Language Classes

International language classes teach a language other than English or French. These courses teach students a language and information about other cultures.

The Waterloo Region District School Board and the Waterloo Catholic District School Board offer the International Language Program to elementary and secondary school children.  The International Language Program is lead by the Ministry of Education. Communities partner with the school boards to offer high-quality instruction.

Both school boards have international language courses for adults.  Conestoga College, Wilfrid Laurier University, and the University of Waterloo offer advanced level language courses.

Private language schools also offer language courses.

There are also many ethnic and cultural groups in Waterloo Region where you can learn about a culture and language.

Contact the school, college, or university you would like to attend to find out more about their courses or programs.
