Rights and Responsibilities
We all have rights and responsibilities to follow so that everyone travels safely and is treated with respect.
Driving
Every driver must have a licence and insurance. There are no exceptions. There are strict and costly penalties for driving without a licence or insurance. These penalties include large fines, and having your licence or car taken away.
Learn more about insurance at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
Drivers must also maintain and repair their vehicle and follow the rules of the road and the traffic laws.
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation has more information about driving in Ontario.
